Julio Obertini
	
	Julio Obertini, 86, of DuQuoin, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2002 at 6:04 a.m. at Franklin Hospital in Benton.
	Mr. Obertini had been a welder with the coal mines.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict.  He was a member of the American Legion and VFW in DuQuoin.
	He was born August 7, 1915 at Herrin, the son of Bert and Anna (Wertz) Obertini.  He married Betty Jean Brann in San Francisco, California in 1945 and she preceded him in death in 1987.
	Surviving are three children, Patricia Obertini of DuQuoin, James Obertini of California and Debra Jean Obertini of California; one brother, Charles Obertini of DuQuoin and one sister, Julia Janini of Pinckneyville.
	Her was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one daughter, one brother and one sister.
	Funeral services were Saturday, January 5 at 2 p.m. at Neal-McClure Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bob Dickerson officiating.  Interment was in Sunset Memorial Park at DuQuoin.
	Friends alled at Neal-McClure Funeral Home on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 7:30 a.m. until time of service.
